Sometimes, as Christians, we might be unaware of the facts. Many of us, especially those who live in the West, think that everyone in the world has heard of Jesus Christ, at least once. This is not the case. Although Christianity with its almost 2 billion believers worldwide make up the largest religion in the world, Christians still make up no more than 33% of the entire world’s population.
The last commandment that our Lord Jesus Christ gave us before His ascension into heaven more than 2,000 years ago was to preach to the whole world about Him, and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Two-thousand years later, we still have not reached many parts of the world in Africa, Asia, China, South America and the Middle East.

To fulfill God’s great commandment, we are obligated as Christians to spread the good news in all parts of the world through missionary work, supporting it wherever it exists, and living as true Christians – the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
