MFC was registered as a non-profit organization in Virginia in 2003.
It is a mission branching out of the Coptic Orthodox Church. The Coptic Church with its long history of missionary work worldwide suffered many periods of great persecution since its inception in the first century by St. Mark the Evangelist according to the traditions of the Coptic Church.
One of the most difficult periods of the Coptic Church was during the Arab invasion to Egypt in the 7th century. Such suppression and persecution prevented the Coptic Church from continuing its dedication to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ among all nations.
Recently, over 35 years ago, Pope Cyril the VI, resumed the unfinished task of bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world with his great wisdom and enthusiasm for service. Currently, Pope Shenouda the III, is expanding this golden time through his long-term vision and leadership.

In the past few years, having been brought up in a revived church
environment led by visionaries, a new spark lit the fire of service
among the youth of the church that are eager to take part in this great service.
MFC (Mission for Christ) is one of the new products of this revival in the Coptic Church. MFC, with its unique vision and innovative approaches to reach this vision, faces a bright and challenging future. The good news is that all of us at MFC are committed, excited and believe that He who started in us a good deed will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). MFC founders and officers are always seeking the wisdom and spiritual leadership of the Church.
